Research Paper Accepted at GLOBECOM 2023

We’re pleased to announce that LINCS Lab members Hajar Moudoud and Wissal Hamhoum had their paper accepted for presentation at the prestigious IEEE GLOBECOM 2023 conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from December 4th to 8th, 2023.

Their paper, “Strengthening Open Radio Access Networks: Advancing Safeguards through ZTA and Deep Learning,” proposes an innovative approach to address security challenges in Open Radio Access Networks (Open RAN). The solution integrates Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)—where every application, device, or user is verified before being trusted—with the deep reinforcement learning model “Deep SARSA.” This combination enables real-time detection and prevention of cyber threats.

IEEE GLOBECOM is a flagship event under the IEEE Communications Society, known for its rigorous peer review process and selection of top technical papers from over 3000 annual submissions. The acceptance of this paper underscores the significant dedication, hard work, and collaborative effort invested in this project.
