class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We are proud to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/soumaya-cherkaoui-b0522821\/\"><strong data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"365\">Prof. Soumaya Cherkaoui<\/strong><\/a>, head of the Lincs Lab, has received a major research grant from <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"485\">NSERC\u2019s Alliance program<\/strong>, amounting to more than <strong data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"539\">$949,500 over three years<\/strong>. The funding is awarded as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Innovate-Innover\/NQS-SQN_eng.asp\">National Quantum Strategy<\/a>&#8216;s initiative to strengthen Canada&#8217;s research, innovation and talent development in quantum science and technology, particularly in <em><strong>improving the allocation of resources on wireless networks<\/strong><\/em>.<br \/>Prof. Cherkaoui&#8217;s work will focus on leveraging quantum computing optimization algorithms to inhance the integration of higher-frequency bands while using spectrum and energy optimally despite increased user density and the need for minimal latency applications.\u00a0<br \/>The results of this project could also prove to be highly valuable for the near-term practical application of quantum
