TimeWorld 2022: Global Scientific Congress on AI

Cyprien Quéméneur, a member of the LINCS Lab, recently attended the latest TimeWorld event, hosted by the University of Montréal.

IVADO graciously provided Cyprien with entry to this three-day conference, which featured 100 talks and 8 round table discussions dedicated to artificial intelligence.

TimeWorld offered a unique interdisciplinary approach to AI, examining it not only through the lens of formal sciences but also biology, cognition, philosophy, art, and more. Attendees were even treated to an opening statement by Hubert Reeves.

Cyprien particularly enjoyed talks on AGI research (Doina Precup, Irina Rish), quantum machine learning (Luc Vinet), AI as a tool to accelerate scientific discoveries (Yoshua Bengio), and AI in business (Alain Lavoie).

For those interested, all conference sessions were recorded and are available for viewing online here.
